Rachel Lapkin
Rachel Lapkin has been fascinated with book structures the minute she was shown that a book is an object beyond a vehicle for words. In the 10 years since that minute she has been learning as much about book history as she can in book arts classes, library school, and conservation labs from very talented and generous teachers. Currently the Assistant Conservator at The New York Botanical Garden Library, Rachel is always happy to talk with perspective conservation students about educational paths and conservation work in different library settings.
